Coral and the Ocean Keepers

Coral loved the ocean more than anything. She loved to splash in the waves, build sandcastles, and watch the tiny crabs scuttle across the shore. The ocean was her happy place, full of wonder and magic.

But one sunny afternoon, as Coral walked along the beach, her heart sank. Instead of sparkling shells and smooth pebbles, she saw plastic bottles, old fishing nets, and colourful wrappers tangled in the seaweed. The beautiful ocean looked sad.

"Oh no," she whispered, her eyes wide with worry. "What has happened to my beautiful ocean?" She wished she could make it all disappear, but there was just so much of it.

Just then, she noticed a small boat offshore. Two figures in bright, colourful wetsuits were carefully pulling something large and dark from the water. They looked like ocean adventurers!

Coral, curious, walked closer to where the boat was heading. As they reached the shore, one of the adventurers, a kind woman with a friendly smile, waved to her. "Hello there!" she called. "We're the Ocean Keepers!"

The woman introduced herself as Marina, and her friend as Finn. "We help clean up the ocean," Marina explained, gesturing to the rubbish they had collected. "We remove pollution to keep our marine friends safe and healthy."

Finn showed Coral a picture on his tablet. It was a sea turtle, happy and swimming freely, after they had rescued it from a discarded fishing net. "Every piece of rubbish we remove helps creatures like this," he said.

Coral's eyes lit up. "Can I help too?" she asked eagerly. Marina smiled. "Of course! Every little bit helps. Even picking up one piece of plastic makes a difference. You can be an Ocean Keeper too!"

Inspired, Coral started right away. She carefully picked up a plastic bottle near her feet and put it in a nearby bin. Then another, and another. Soon, her small pile grew bigger.

Day after day, Coral kept cleaning. Soon, her friends and family joined in, and the beach began to sparkle again. The crabs scuttled happily, and the waves looked cleaner and brighter. Coral knew she was an ocean hero, protecting her beloved sea, one piece of rubbish at a time.
