The world was new and full of wonder. God made the sky, the land, and all the animals that scurried and flew. Then, with great care, He formed the first man, Adam, from the dust of the ground.
God placed Adam in a beautiful garden called Eden. He told Adam to take care of all the plants and animals. Adam was happy, but he felt a little lonely.
God saw that Adam needed a companion. While Adam was sleeping, God took one of his ribs and created the first woman, Eve.
Adam woke up and was overjoyed to meet Eve. They were both filled with wonder and love for each other. They explored the garden together, laughing and talking.
God gave Adam and Eve one rule. They could eat from any tree in the garden, except for one special tree in the middle. He warned them that if they ate its fruit, something bad would happen.
One day, a clever serpent slithered up to Eve. He told her that the fruit from the special tree was the most delicious thing she would ever taste. He said that God was just trying to keep a secret from them.
Eve looked at the fruit. It looked so beautiful and smelled so sweet. She thought about what the serpent said and decided to take a bite.
After she ate the fruit, she felt a strange new feeling. She found Adam and offered him a piece. He trusted her and ate it too.
As soon as they ate the fruit, they felt different. They realized they were not wearing clothes, and they felt embarrassed. They quickly used large leaves to cover themselves.
Later, they heard God walking in the garden. They felt afraid and hid behind the trees. God called out, "Adam, where are you?"
