Lila loved her squeaky shoes! "Squeak-squeak!" they went with every hop. Today, she was at the playground, a rainbow of slides and swings. Up, down, up, down, her shoes sang their happy song. "Squeak-squeak-squeak!"
Nearby, Anu was busy. He wore big glasses and loved to build. "Tap-tap-tap!" went his little shovel as he patted the wet sand. He was making the tallest, strongest sandcastle ever! The sand felt cool and soft under his fingers.
Suddenly, a fluffy blur zoomed by! It was Bongo, the wiggliest, happiest puppy. "Woof-woof!" he barked, his tail wagging like a joyful drum. Bongo loved to run and play, especially at the playground.
Lila jumped closer to Anu. "Squeak-squeak!" she went. Anu looked up from his castle, a small smile on his face. "Tap-tap-tap!" he continued, adding a tiny flag to his sandy tower. Bongo trotted over, his nose twitching.
Bongo got excited! He spun in a happy circle, his tail wagging faster and faster. "Woof! Woof!" Oh no! With a soft *thump*, Bongo accidentally knocked right into Anu's beautiful sandcastle. It crumbled into a pile of loose sand.
The playground sounds seemed to quiet. Lila stopped squeaking. Anu looked at his broken castle, his big glasses reflecting a sad, sandy mess. A tear welled in his eye. Bongo whimpered softly, his tail tucked low.
Lila thought for a moment. "It's okay, Anu!" she said, her voice soft but firm. "We can build it again! Together!" She held out a hand, a hopeful sparkle in her eyes. Anu looked up, a tiny spark of hope replacing his sadness.
And so they did! Lila helped scoop the sand, "swish-swish!" Anu carefully patted it into shape, "tap-tap-tap!" Bongo sat nearby, watching them, his tail giving a tiny, hopeful wag. The sounds of teamwork filled the air.
Soon, the castle was even bigger and better! Other children from the playground came to see. "Wow!" said a girl offering a warm samosa. "Look!" said a boy with a soft tortilla. Another child shared a delicious dumpling. Everyone smiled, sharing their treats and happy sounds.
The sandcastle stood tall and proud! Lila's shoes went "Squeak-squeak-squeak!" as she jumped with glee. Anu beamed, his glasses shining. And Bongo barked "Woof-woof!" his tail wagging faster than ever. The playground was full of happy sounds, the best sound of all: friendship!
