Elodie packed her bags, her heart fluttering with excitement. She was going on an adventure to France with her Uncle Remy! "Are you ready, Elodie?" Uncle Remy asked. "Oui!" she giggled, practicing her first French word.
Soon, they arrived in Paris! The city sparkled under the morning sun. "Bonjour, Paris!" Uncle Remy said, waving. Elodie waved too. "Bonjour!" she whispered, feeling a little shy but very happy.
Their first stop was the magnificent Tour Eiffel! It was even taller than Elodie imagined. "C'est la Tour Eiffel!" Uncle Remy explained. Elodie looked up, her mouth open in awe. "Wow! La Tour Eiffel!"
The next morning, they went to a small bakery. The smell of fresh bread filled the air. "Un croissant, s'il vous plaît," Uncle Remy said to the baker. Elodie pointed to a yummy pastry. "Pain au chocolat, s'il vous plaît!" she tried. The baker smiled.
After breakfast, they explored a bustling outdoor market. So many colors! "Regarde, Elodie, les belles couleurs!" Uncle Remy said, pointing to a stall filled with fruits and vegetables. "Rouge, jaune, vert!" Elodie exclaimed, naming the colors she knew.
At a cheese stall, Uncle Remy picked up a delicious-looking block. "C'est du fromage," he said. Elodie sniffed it. "Fromage!" she repeated, giggling at the funny smell. "Merci!" she added when the vendor handed them a small sample.
They walked along the Seine River, enjoying the sunshine. Elodie felt thirsty. "De l'eau, s'il vous plaît?" she asked Uncle Remy, remembering the words. "Oui, bien sûr!" he replied, handing her a bottle of water.
One afternoon, they visited a grand museum. "C'est un musée," Uncle Remy whispered. Elodie saw amazing paintings and sculptures. "Incroyable!" she whispered back, even though it wasn't a French word she had learned yet, it felt right.
Too soon, it was time to go home. At the airport, Elodie hugged Uncle Remy tightly. "Au revoir, France!" she said with a little sigh. "Au revoir, Elodie!" he replied.
Back home, Elodie loved telling everyone about her adventure. When her mom asked if she wanted a cookie, Elodie beamed. "Oui, merci!" she said, remembering her French words. She couldn't wait for her next adventure!
