In a colorful, bustling town, lived a little bear named Leo. More than anything, Leo loved crunchy, red apples from the big tree in his backyard. He knew exactly what they tasted like, and that made him feel safe and happy.
1
Every morning, Leo would pick an apple for breakfast, an apple for lunch, and an apple for dinner. He saw other animals in town enjoying all sorts of different foods, but Leo just stuck to his trusty apples. New foods looked a bit scary!
2
One sunny afternoon, his friend, Mia the rabbit, hopped by. Mia was always trying new things and exploring. She noticed Leo’s usual apple snack. “Leo,” she chirped, “you always eat apples! Don’t you wonder what else tastes yummy?”
3
Leo shrugged. “Apples are the best!” he mumbled. Mia giggled. “I have an idea! Let’s have a ‘Taste the Rainbow’ picnic tomorrow! It’ll be a grand adventure, I promise!” Leo’s ears perked up. An adventure?

The next day, Leo and Mia found the perfect spot in a sunny meadow. Mia pulled out a big, colorful platter. It was filled with fruits and veggies of every color imaginable – bright reds, sunny yellows, deep purples, and vibrant greens!
5
“Wow,” whispered Leo, his eyes wide. He looked at the platter, then at his favorite apple, then back at the platter. His tummy rumbled, but his heart felt a little fluttery. “It’s okay to just try a tiny bite,” Mia encouraged gently.
6
Leo took a deep breath. He looked at a juicy, bright orange slice. It smelled sweet and fresh. With a trembling paw, he picked it up. This was it! His very first bite of something new.
7
He took a tiny bite. “Mmm!” he squeaked, his eyes sparkling with surprise and delight. The orange was sweet and tangy, like sunshine on his tongue! It was nothing like an apple, but it was delicious!
8
Encouraged by the wonderful orange, Leo tried a sweet purple grape, then a crunchy green bell pepper, and a juicy red strawberry. Each new taste was a delightful surprise, a new little adventure for his taste buds!

From that day on, Leo learned that trying new foods could be a fun and exciting adventure. He and Mia continued to discover new flavors and make unforgettable memories, always ready to "taste the rainbow" together!
