Elara loved to draw, but sometimes, her pencil felt too heavy. "My lines are wobbly," she'd sigh, looking at her half-finished drawing of a fluffy cloud. "It's just not good enough."
One sunny afternoon, her friend Lumi skipped by. Lumi always had a sparkle in her eye and a bounce in her step. She saw Elara's frown. "What's wrong, Elara?" she asked kindly.
Elara pointed to her cloud. "It's not perfect. I wish I could draw like the pictures in books." Lumi gently took Elara's hand. "Oh, Elara," she said, "you have a wonderful imagination! And your cloud looks so soft!"
"My secret," Lumi whispered, "is the Magic Mirror of Words. It's not a real mirror, but it shows you what you tell yourself inside your head. If you say 'I can't,' the mirror shows you someone who can't. But if you say 'I can try!' it shows you someone who is brave and strong!"
Elara looked puzzled. "So, if I tell myself my cloud is good, it will be?" Lumi nodded. "Exactly! Your words are like magic seeds. Plant good ones, and good things grow."
The next day, Elara had to read aloud in class. Her tummy felt like a fluttery butterfly. "I'm going to mess up," she thought. Then she remembered Lumi's words. "I am a good reader," she whispered to herself. "I can do this."
She took a deep breath. Her voice was quiet at first, but with each positive word she told herself, it grew stronger. She read the whole page without a single mistake! A little smile bloomed on her face.
Later, Lumi found Elara beaming. "You did it!" Lumi cheered. "See? Your Magic Mirror showed you how brave you are!" Elara giggled. "It really worked, Lumi! My words helped me."
From that day on, Elara started talking to herself with kindness. When she felt shy, she'd say, "I am friendly." When a task seemed hard, she'd say, "I am clever and I can learn."
Soon, Elara's inner voice became her best friend. She knew that the most important words were the ones she told herself. And her Magic Mirror of Words always showed her a bright, wonderful Elara, ready for anything!
